Adhen Agro Nursery, Vellamunda village, which was established under the HDFC Bank-supported Parivartan project, has officially signed a licensing agreement with ICAR-Indian Institute of Spices Research (IISR), Calicut.
Dr. Dinesh, Director, IISR, and Mr. M. V. Poulose, President, Adhen Agro Nursery, signed the licensing agreement. Dr. T. E. Sheeja, Head, Division of Crop Improvement and Technology, and Mr. Sanil P. C., Development Associate, MSSRF-CAbC, graced the occasion.
The group is authorized to produce the IISR Thevam Black Pepper variety as per the terms and conditions and utilize the IISR marketing channels for sales. IISR Thevam Black Pepper variety was released in 2004 and is tolerant to foot rot diseases and suited to high altitude areas and plains
