M S Swaminathan Research Foundation, under the CSR project of HDFC bank Parivartan provided support for the smart school with science lab at Govt Modal Higher Secondary School Cheeral, and Govt Higher Secondary School Appara in Nenmeni Panchayath, Wayanad District.
On National Science Day The Smart School Science Lab at GHSS Anappara was inaugurated by Sulthan Bathery Block Panchayat Vice president Ambili Sudhi.
As part of National Science day, an awareness programme was conducted for the students of Govt Higher Secondary School Cheeral. The programme aimed at generating awareness on the importance of science and its applications among the students and motivate them to pursue science and make the best use of it.
Mr. N Gopalakrishnan, Development Coordinator, MSSRF briefed about the importance of National Science day and MSSRF’s role in the promotion of Science Education and also about the Every Child A Scientist Programe.
Mr.Geogre VD, an expert in science education interacted with students and narrated about the exquisite arena of Science. He demonstrated various experiments based on science to accelerate their scientific thoughts at GMHSS Cheeral.The sessions were much helpful to the students in improving their insights on importance of science and its applications in our daily lives. Ms BIndu Joseph, Gayathri Kalathil and Gopalakrishnan were coordinated the programme.
