A three-week-long training program on the use of agricultural machinery and repair of breakdowns was conducted at MSSRF CAbC. The training program was organized exclusively for SC and ST communities and enabled the trainees to operate and repair more than 23 agricultural machines and equipment.
The program was inaugurated by District Principal Agriculture Officer Ms Raji, who said that such a training program will produce people with the necessary skills and strengthen the agricultural sector of the state and increase production. The keynote speaker, Shri. Jamsheed, Tribal Extension Officer also commented about the training. Dr Ibrahim Basit (KSCSTE) explained that the project’s purpose is to make Kerala a more efficient and skilled state. 38 members from different districts of Kerala participated in the training program. Dr Shakeela V, Director, MSSRF CAbC presided over the function. Mr D Rajan (Municipal Councilor Kalpatta), Shri. K. V., Divakaran, Mrs. A. Devaki (Felicitations) and others attended the inaugural function.
Trainees expressed their sincere gratitude towards the training program especially women who got good exposure and hands-on training on the operation & maintenance of farm machinery and equipment. Naseema Teacher, Block Panchayath President congratulated the trainees and shared the importance of such trainings at the valedictory function of the programme. Joseph John, Training Coordinator, Sujith and Noushique coordinated the 21 days training programme. Noushique, MSSRF delivered the Vote of Thanks.
