Let the Contributions Speak: Elsy Mathew Retired

After serving the institute for 25 years in the capacity of administrative manager Ms. Elsy Mathew retired from service. She was one of the few who joined since the beginning of this institution that was in1997. She took lead role in giving visibility to the institution through various relationship building activities with other similar academic, developmental and nongovernmental organizations. She has made great impact on the growth of institution and also to the lives of many people. In addition to the administrative jobs, she was versatile enough to make translation works in unison with the objectives of the institute and translated biodiversity act to Malayalam. She also made studies and reports on traditional biodiversity conservation methods of a native Wayanadan community called Chettys.


While commemorating her contributions, the Executive Director Dr. G.N Hariharan said Ms. Elsy Mathew was a dynamic person and set her duties first ahead of personal targets. Dr. N. Anil Kumar (Senior Director MSSRF) said a person of her kind will be remembered for her contributions and sincerity towards the work. She always kept high standards and dedication to accomplish the assigned tasks, he added. Dr. Shakeela (Director, CAbC MSSRF) said the competency and skill sets of Ms. Elsy were fully utilized for the benefit of the institution and set new standards in administrative management. The dedication and commitment of her was unparallel and all staff of the institution benefitted in one way or other way, she added. Staff of CAbC shared their experience to work with her on the occasion. Ms. Elsy Mathew expressed her deepest gratitude for honouring her and said thanks to all the authorities for giving her the opportunity to serve the institution.
