Hamlet level education support was extended in 5 Paniya Hamlets of Wayanad in Kerala, by the HRDP Parivartan.

5 trained community education volunteers have mentored 127 Adivasi children and assessed children’s interest to learn and their learning abilities. Education volunteers guide children in attending classes and help them in homework.

Due to this need-based intervention, children benefit from the programme. They regularly attend online classes and watch telecasted classes aired on government education channels.

The attendance rate of 127 children in classes has increased from 34% to 83%.
92% of children maintain their notes and complete their homework on a regular basis.
Although the sporadic lockdowns have affected the programme, We continue the work with the help of education volunteers and supportive people in these hamlets.
