The M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation organized a one-day workshop on climate change for students from three schools in the Pozhuthana Grama Panchayat. The workshop aimed to educate children about climate change, its impacts, and how to mitigate them. Students learned how to use a rain gauge, understood the importance of disaster preparedness, and received endangered plant species to promote biodiversity conservation. Experts from the foundation conducted interactive sessions with the students. The KNCF (Japan) supported the workshop and aimed to raise awareness among children, equip them with knowledge and skills, and foster environmental responsibility.
