On December 5, 2023, a successful handover ceremony marked the completion of the renovation of 47 Anganwadis in 14 villages of Ernakulam district under the HDFC Bank Parivartan Project, implemented by the M S Swaminathan Research Foundation. The program was inaugurated by Shri. K. N Unnikrishnan, Vypin MLA, who formally launched the initiative by unveiling a video showcasing the activities conducted in the Anganwadis. Shri. K. N Unnikrishnan, Vypin MLA, Mr. Somesh Nambiar, Circle Head of HDFC Bank, Dr. Shakeela V, Director of M S Swaminathan Research Foundation, Mr. Joseph Cheeran, Cluster Head of HDFC Bank, Sreeja M R from HDFC Bank CSR, and other panchayat leaders jointly presented a memento, symbolizing the successful handover, to Roshini, CDPO of Vypin Block.
As part of our program, an exhibition was arranged to showcase the products from enterprising units established under the Parivartn Project. The exhibition displayed various products, program brochures, and success stories. Distinguished guests attended the event and kindly assessed the exhibited items, providing valuable feedback. The program was attended by a total of 150 people, including Anganwadi teachers, HDFC Bank’s CSR officials, representatives of local self-governments, project staff, parents, and stakeholders.
As part of the activity, 47 Anganwadis in Ernakulam district were renovated. The renovation included painting and artwork on the walls, and the installation of floor mats and toys, tables, and puzzle play mats. The intervention aimed to improve the structure and integrate advanced equipment and toys to enhance the learning experience. By using vibrant paintwork, engaging artwork, and installing floor mats, tables, and puzzle play mats, we aimed to create a more inviting and organized environment
Prajesh Parameshwaran, Senior Scientist, MSSRF welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Thulasi Soman, Block Panchayat President, Vypin, presided over the function and delivered the presidential address. The keynote address was given by the popular writer Shri Sippy Pallipuram. Dr. Shakeela V, Director of MSSRF, and Mr. Joseph Cheeran, Cluster Head of HDFC Bank, shared special messages with the audience. Felicitations were presented by Neethu Binod, President of Grama Panchayat, Nayarambalam; Mini Raju, President of Grama Panchayat, Njarakkal; Ramani Ajayan, President of Grama Panchayat, Pallipuram; K S Nibin, President of Grama Panchayat, Kuzhupilly; and Joby Varghese, Wise President of Grama Panchayath, Nayarambalam
The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks extended by M.P. Shajan, Cluster Coordinator of MSSRF. Mr. Distin, Mr. Ajin, Ms. Chithra, Ms. Sumy, Mr. Sanil, and Mr. Shajan from MSSRF played pivotal roles in coordinating the event under the leadership of Dr. Shakeela, Mr. Prajeesh, and Ms. Sreeja. The collaborative efforts of the team ensured the success and seamless execution of the event.
