Ms. C S Dhanya is currently the Program Officer for crop germplasm programme. Earlier she was into a mission of saving RET plant species, focusing on Critically Endangered Tree species of Western Ghats. Presently she is engaged in collection and documentation of the varietal diversity that exists in crops and their wild relatives and also in establishment, management and evaluation of crop Germplasm. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Botany and a master’s in Plantation Development and currently pursuing PhD in conservation biology. She has presented 4 research papers and has attended the 4th Global Botanic Garden Congress at Ireland. Also she got trained in Advanced Field Ecology and Conservation, from XTBG, China. She is a life member of IAAT and of IASS.
